What winter grass costs in Phoenix
One flat price per yard size, published up front. No hourly billing, no separate materials charge, and nobody sitting on your couch running a sales pitch.
Pick the size that looks closest — you don't need to measure. Our crew confirms the actual square footage when we arrive, and we tell you before any work starts if you land in a different band.
Every job includes
- Scalp the Bermuda down and haul away all clippings
- Premium ryegrass seed at full Phoenix overseeding rate
- Starter fertilizer and compost top dressing
No separate charge for seed, fertilizer or hauling.
Optional extras
- Power rakingPriced on site
- Watering plan + follow-up visit$50
Power raking depends on how much thatch you have, so we quote it on site rather than guessing at a number here.
Yards over 4,000 sq ft
Larger lots are priced at $899 plus $0.30 per square foot above 4,000 sq ft. A 6,000 sq ft yard, for example, comes to $1,499. Pick “larger than 4,000 sq ft” on the form and enter your best estimate — we confirm it on site before starting.
Past about 20,000 sq ft we stop quoting from a formula and come look at it first.
If it doesn't come in, we re-seed free. If that still fails, you get a full refund.
All we ask is that you follow the watering schedule we leave with you — seed that never gets water cannot germinate, and that is the one failure we can't fix for you.
What the guarantee actually covers
If your lawn doesn't come in, we come back and re-seed it at no charge. If the re-seed fails too, you get every dollar back — not a credit, not a discount on next year.
The one thing outside our control is watering. Ryegrass seed needs to stay damp for the first two weeks, and we leave a written schedule for exactly that. If the seed was never watered, a re-seed is the fix rather than a refund — we'll tell you honestly which situation you're in when we look at it.
Why we charge by size instead of by hour
Overseeding cost is driven almost entirely by area: how much Bermuda has to come off, how much seed goes down, how much material gets hauled away. Pricing it by the hour just moves the risk of a slow day onto you. A flat rate means the number you see is the number you pay.
You pick the size band you think you're in. Our crew measures on arrival, and if you're in a different band we tell you before starting — you can take the corrected price or send us home at no cost.

Pricing questions
Is the price really flat, or is it a starting point?
It is flat for the size band you fall into. You pick the band you think you are in when you request service and our crew confirms the actual square footage on arrival. If you are clearly in a different band we tell you before any work starts.
What is included in the price?
Scalping the Bermuda down and hauling away all the clippings, premium ryegrass seed at full overseeding rate, starter fertilizer, and a compost top dressing. There are no separate charges for materials.
What costs extra?
Power raking is priced on site because it depends on how much thatch you have. A watering plan with a follow-up visit is $50. Nothing else is added without asking you first.
What is your money-back guarantee?
If it doesn't come in, we re-seed free. If that still fails, you get a full refund. The one thing we ask is that you follow the watering schedule we leave with you, because seed that never gets water cannot germinate.
Do you charge for a quote?
No. Pricing is published on this page and the request form is free. We do not do high-pressure in-home sales visits.
